A Brief Introduction to the Automatic Identification

Manufacture Association of China

The Automatic Identification Manufacturer Association of China(AIM China) is a national level association, being responsible for State General Administration of  People’s Republic of China for Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine, and supervised by the Ministry of Civil Administration of the People''''''''s Republic of China. With the status of a self-governed legal person, AIM China is the member of International Automatic Identification Manufacture Association( AIM Global)  Directorate.

The enterprises or business units and individuals who are engaged in automatic identification technical research, production, sale, and application form AIM China, a nationwide, industrial and nonprofit public organization, voluntarily. Its operations are concerned with various Auto-ID technologies such as bar code technology, RFID, smart card ID, optical character recognition, voice recognition, visual recognition, biological feature recognition etc..

1.The Association’s Goal

Under the circumstance of complying with constitution, law, regulation, national policy and social moral, the goal of AIM China is to unite, organize and coordinate individuals and enterprises who are engaged in research, production, sale, and application of Auto-ID Tech, to popularize and develop Auto-ID Tech that contribute to socialist market economic

2.The Association’s Work

·Providing relevant information of advanced technologies to the government and departments concerned;

·Researching and drafting relevant industry standards, and compiled relevant technical materials;

·Promoting domestic and international academic and technological exchanges, holding Auto-ID Tech exhibitions, seminars and training courses, and organizing overseas study tours and training activities for its members and related professionals;

·Appraising the relevant projects under commission, evaluating and assessing products and relevant application systems of Auto-ID Tech, and publishing the association’s reports;

·Setting up a nationwide Auto-ID technical information network, promoting the cooperation and technical exchanges between enterprises, institutions and research units, and offering consultative services to its members and the society;

·Carrying out technical transfer, appraisal and the development of products and application systems of Auto-ID Tech;

·Publishing professional and technical materials and formal publications of AIM China;

·Establishing professional committees of Auto-ID Tech to strengthen the administration of the industry;

·Undertaking other works that the national relevant authorities require.

3.The Association’s Organizational Structure

The Members’ Representative Assembly has the supreme right in the Association with the Council as its executive body. The Director-General of the Council is the legal representative person of the Association. The Secretariat is the Association’s administrative body.
